学期报告

今天老师发了TERM 2的学期报告。单子的大题目就是"Progress Report"，没有具体成绩，老师逐一介绍了各种科目的学习内容，汇报了囡同学的各项进步。从报告看，囡同学表现不错，老师对她的进步非常满意。

总评语是："She continues to be a kind, quiet and sensitive student. She has settled into class routines and enjoys interacting with her peers. She has gained confidence at school and is more likely to speak up for herself now she is more comfortable. She continues to put a good effort into her daily work and has a good attitude about learning new things."

最后的发展建议是："Encouraging her to sound out words when reading and writing."相关的家长帮助建议一是多读书，二是让她"keeping a personal journal, writing poems, stories,lists, notes, postcards, letters, etc." 老师的想法和我不谋而合。我前两天正是准备了两个本，一个让囡写中文，一个写英文。

最近学校里是“JUMP ROPE FOR HEART”的活动，本星期还特别为“HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION”捐款，形式是收集硬币。周一是PENNIES，周二是NICKELS，周三是DIMES，周四是QUARTERS，周五随意。这下正好，让囡搞明白这些钢蹦都是啥。

最近学校还会进行一个"Child Abuse Safety Awareness Program"，每周两次，每次20分钟，一共六周，会给孩子们讲解有关：
1, Children learn about body ownership and that each person has a unique and independent body;
2,Introduces the subject of child sexual abuse through a discussion on touching. Children learn how to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate touches, how to recognize potentially unsafe situations and learn Personal Safety Rules to promote their safety;
3, Deals in depth with the Personal Safety Rules with an emphasis on learning and practicing assertiveness, "getting away" skills and identifying helping resources.

本周还是SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR。孩子们此还是挺兴奋的。

补记一笔：上周三还是学校的WALKING TO SCHOOL DAY，穿了黄色衣服，以示对环保活动的支持。
